LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

Hello, I’m Brianna Fernandez ("Brie Fern")! I'm just your average twenty-something who is in love with all things creative. In my free time you’ll usually find me sipping coffee with friends, doodling pictures of flowers, or discovering new music. I'm originally from Florida but I currently reign from Birmingham, Alabama. While in Birmingham, I have gotten my B.F.A in Graphic Design from Samford University, been given multiple opportunities to travel, and worked numerous freelance jobs and internships.

Choosing to pursue the arts has never been easy. It has taught me courage, persistence, and strength. Honestly, it has strengthened my relationship with the Lord, and for that I am grateful! If you asked me just a few years ago why I chose to pursue a career in Graphic Design, I’d probably look at you with a puzzled gaze and frantically answer “I don’t know”. While I still don’t have a definite answer to this question, there is clear foreshadowing to this decision. When I was young, I was fascinated by letters and the forms they create. I was frequently found writing out the alphabet in all sorts of hand lettering. As I’ve gotten older, this fascination can still be seen through not only hand-lettering, but also through the use of  clean, bold, and compact typography.

In addition to my love for design, I am passionate about pouring into the lives of women and girls. My dream is to eventually find a way to combine my love for art and ministry, in order to empower women. My love for the gospel, and the mission of the Church, is what propels me and my personal work.
